    12.10.2019

    It will be the perfect solution for any occasion. Next, a master class will be presented that will help everyone to make a simple and very original postcard with their own hands.

    To complete the work, you will need to prepare the list of materials presented below. Some materials can be replaced at your discretion, and in the same way you can take an idea from this work and make your own unique postcard, which will be an exclusive product.
    List of materials for making a postcard:

    1. A sheet of paper for pastels or cardboard, dark purple A4;
    2. White cardboard or thick paper;
    3. Purple design paper with a pattern;
    4. Foamed double-sided tape;
    5. Quilling paper - yellow, pale purple, white;
    6. White and purple rhinestones of different sizes;
    7. Scallop tool;
    8. Quilling tool, scissors, glue, tweezers.
    We make a base from purple cardboard, bending an A4 sheet in half. The fold line should be drawn with a sharp object so that the cardboard bends easily and as evenly as possible.
    Cut out a piece of 12x17 cm from white cardboard, glue squares of foam tape on the back side.

    We attach white cardboard to the base.

    We take design paper. It is desirable that it is also dense enough, since a voluminous flower will be attached to it.

    The dimensions of the purple design paper are 10x15 cm. We also glue it on the reverse side with double-sided foam tape and fasten it on top of a white rectangle on the base.

    Take 20 cm yellow quilling paper and use the comb tool to shape the detail. We attach the end of the strip of paper to the comb.

    Next, we make loops, each time increasing the size of the element being performed.

    At the point of contact of the paper loops, they should be lubricated with a little glue so that the element does not disintegrate, but is held securely.
    It turns out such a detail. You will need to make 16 of them.

    White paper 20 cm white we carry out the same eight elements.

    We connect together with glue two yellow and one white parts so that the white one is in the middle.

    Now we take a soft purple strip of paper 20 cm long and wrap these three parts with it.

    Cut the edge and fasten it with glue. The first petal is ready.

    We carry out such 8 petals for our flower.

    Take the yellow quilling paper and form a tight roll. The length of the strip should be about 100 cm, depending on the weight of the paper. The roll diameter should be about 2.5 mm.

    Now we gently press the finished roll inward so that we get a volumetric detail.

    From the inside, the part must be well lubricated with glue so that it retains its shape.

    We attach the flower petals to each other with glue at the points of contact. In the center we fix the middle of the flower, which should dry completely.

    The flower turns out to be voluminous.

    We smear the finished flower on the reverse side with glue, and then fix it on the basis of the postcard at the top right.

    From purple and white quilling paper, we carry out the following detail, making loops alternately: a small purple loop - a little more white loop - even more purple loop. At the base, the ends of the part are held together with glue.
    We smear the part with glue, glue it to the base.

    Next, take a strip of purple paper 20 cm long and fold it in half. We fix the edges of the strip with glue, then we begin to wind the tool. We lubricate the resulting part with a small layer of glue, fix it on the base.

    Quilling, otherwise paper-rolling, cannot be called very in a simple way making postcards. If you create postcards-paintings according to all the rules of quilling, then you need to stock up on a fair amount of patience, perseverance and accuracy. We will take the easy way so that everyone can make a greeting card on their own, and we will learn how to perform just a few quilling elements.

    To work on postcards, we need:

    • strips of double-sided colored paper, which you can buy in the store ready-made (quilling paper) or cut yourself;
    • a toothpick (or an awl, cocktail tubes, an empty ballpoint pen rod);
    • scissors;
    • pVA glue;
    • thick paper or cardboard for the postcard itself.

    Quilling Basics

    Learning to make a spiral - the simplest, but most important element of quilling.

    The spiral is ready.

    Now, on this spiral, you need to learn how to make different clamps, which are obtained using ordinary pressure with your fingers. Press on one side and you have a leaflet. Press on both sides, get a boat. If you press on one side and bend the spiral inward on the other, you get a heart. These elements will be enough for making postcards. Those who wish to "go" further can learn how to make a triangle, square, crescent, asterisk and much more.

    We continue to study the art of quilling postcards; let's try to make a flower.

    Ideas for your quilling cards

    In the quilling technique, you can create a variety of postcard compositions, for example, the following:

    Try to make a light postcard first, and then complicate the task. Creative process will surely captivate, and imperceptibly for yourself you will begin to create real masterpieces from ordinary strips of colored paper.

    What is quilling, what is needed for this skill and the technique of handicrafts. Easy quilling schemes, 29 photos and videos for creating shapes.

    Quilling originated in the 14th century, now it is experiencing another birth. Many are attracted by the fact that such beauty can be created with your own hands from paper strips.

    Quilling for beginners - what you need to prepare

    For those who have never been involved in such creativity, it is better to start with simple crafts. It can be:

    • postcards;
    • snowflakes;
    • flowers;
    • panels;
    • pictures.

    They will tell you how to make a craft using the quilling technique for beginners. Below are the basic shapes that are used to create true pieces of fine art. First you need to prepare everything you need for this type of creativity.

    If you have the opportunity to buy a quilling kit, purchase it. The basic kit includes:
    • strips of colored paper;
    • a template with a coordinate grid, radii, guides applied to it;
    • a device with a bifurcated metal tip, with which paper tapes are twisted;
    • glue;
    • small scissors;
    • tweezers.
    More complete sets for quilling are also available. There is a ruler with round holes to make twisting elements of the desired size along it; pins for rough fastening of parts. Ready-made kits are also sold, in which there is a diagram, blanks for making flowers, a butterfly, a picture and so on.

    If you do not have the opportunity to buy a ready-made set, this should not stop those who want to create. Tape twisting quilling tools can be transformed into:

    • nail scissors with straight ends;
    • awl;
    • kernel;
    • gypsy igloo;
    • a toothpick.

    Cut off its sharp part from a toothpick, and bifurcate the resulting tip with a clerical knife. In this hole, you will insert the edge of the paper tape and twist it.

    When using nail scissors, paper strips are placed between two blades. Further, the tape is wrapped around this tool and a spiral of the desired size is obtained.

    When using an awl and a gypsy needle, the edge of the strip is applied to the metal part, held with two fingers of the free hand and twisted. They also work with a rod, but in this case, the core of the workpiece may turn out to be larger than necessary, then any of the four tools listed above are used.

    Strips of quilling paper can also be replaced. To do this, cut them out of white or colored double-sided paper.

    Quilling schemes

    A detailed description of the manufacture of various elements of this needlework will help you create real masterpieces over time.

    The main elements of quilling are:

    • tight and loose spiral;
    • curl;
    • drop and curved drop;
    • semicircle;
    • eye;
    • arrow;
    • sheet;
    • heart;
    • triangle;
    • crescent;
    • square;
    • foot;
    • horns.
    Almost all work begins with making a "tight spiral". Take a strip of quilling paper. If there is no such material, then lay a sheet of A4 paper horizontally in front of you, moving the scissors from bottom to top, cut a strip equal in width to 3-5 mm. Attach the tip between the blades of a nail scissor, in the slot of a toothpick or a special quilling tool.

    Hold the paper strip with your left hand and the tool with your right. If you have a double-sided strip, then its seamy part should look towards the rod. Rotate the tool clockwise, and with the fingers of your left hand, hold the spiral that begins to form from above and below so that the curls are even and level.

    When the tape is over, drip some glue on its free end and attach it to the spiral so that it does not unwind and the workpiece looks neat. This is how you made one of the main quilling shapes. Many others are based on this very element. Those who are better at using the left hand need to do this process in a mirror image.

    The next element is called a "free spiral", make it from the shape you just got. To do this, remove the spiral from the needle, let it unwind a little. You can do it differently - do not let go of the fingers of your left hand, but slightly rotate them in the center of this quilling element, and the spiral will weaken.

    To make a "curl", you do not need to glue the free end of the curled tape to the spiral. To make a "drop" it is necessary to squeeze the "free spiral" on one side with your fingers for a few seconds. A "curved blob" is obtained if you bend the corner of the "blob".

    The element called "eye" is also easy to make. To do this, the "free spiral" needs to be pulled slightly to the sides and clamped on two opposite sides, then released. The "leaf" shape will turn out if you bend the corners of the "eye", one - to the right, the second - to the left. To make a "semicircle", take a free spiral, press on it so that the upper side becomes rounded, and the lower one is even.

    It clearly shows how the elements are made using the quilling photo technique. Looking at it, you will understand how to create an "arrow". To do this, press your fingers on 3 sides of the spiral to make a triangle, now press its two corners to each other, and leave the third as it was.

    To make a greeting card using the quilling technique, you can decorate it with an element called "horns". To do this, take a long paper tape, bend it in half, wind right side in the form of a spiral clockwise, and the left - counterclockwise.

    The "heart" shape is made in the same way, only the right half of the ribbon is wound counterclockwise, and the left half - clockwise. The junction of these two elements must be pinched with your fingers to get the corner of the heart.

    The "crescent" is made of the "eye", its 2 opposite corners are bent in the form of the letter "C". The "triangle" will be obtained when the "free spiral" is squeezed in three places, and to make a "square" it must be done from 4 sides.

    For the “foot”, you need to make a “triangle” shape, and then bend two opposite sides of it with your finger to the center.

    How flowers are made using the quilling technique

    Now that you know how to make the basic elements for this type of creativity, you can start the fun process and create original postcards... If you want to decorate them with such colors, then make a “drop” shape from the “free spiral”. Use different colored quilling paper to keep the petals colorful. The middle of the flower will be formed from a "free spiral" shape.

    Put glue on a card or cardboard, attach a "free spiral" here. Also, with glue, fix a few petals around it. The stem is glued in the same way. For it, take a strip of green paper. The middle leaf, as you can see, is made of the "drop" shape, and the top and bottom ones are made of the "eyes" elements. After the glue is dry, the work is complete.

    You can make other postcards using the quilling technique. For beginners, another easy option is offered.

    As you can see, the middle of the flowers is a "free spiral". The petals are made from the same element but in a different shade. Decorate the card with a heart element and an eye shape. A beautiful creation will be appreciated by the one to whom you present such a gift.

    How snowflakes are made using the quilling technique

    For the New Year, you can make a snowflake. For her you will need:
    • quilling paper;
    • stencil;
    • tailor's pins;
    • glue gun or PVA;
    • quilling tool.
    Cut 3 strips of paper in half, you need 5 cuts. Insert the tip of the first into the hole of the quilling tool, twist the tape tightly. Remove it and insert it into the hole of the stencil. Let's say it is 10 mm. You will have your first workpiece with this diameter. Make the next 4 elements the same size.

    To remove the spiral from the stencil, pick it up in the center with a toothpick and remove it, pressing the workpiece with your finger. Let it unwind a little, glue the tip. You have a "free spiral". Place all 5 pieces in the center of the template, it will be easy to align them with it.

    If beginners make a snowflake using the quilling technique, then it is better to attach the elements to the template with a pin, and then glue them together. Then the parts will be arranged as needed.

    As you can see in the photo, around the five “free spiral” elements there are 10 “eye” parts. Make them and glue them together and with the central parts of the snowflake.

    The next 5 parts of the "free spiral" are made of solid strips, so they will be 2 times larger than similar ones glued to the center of the snowflake. A stencil will also help to achieve their evenness. Use a 2 cm hole. After gluing the tip to the spiral, let it unwind and attach each such blank to the previous row of parts.

    To prevent the “free spiral” in the snowflake from unwinding, direct the center of the spiral to its edge, press down. You can apply a little glue here so that the middle of the workpiece moves to the edge.

    As you can see, the "tight spiral" attribute of winter and New Years is being completed. You need 5 such elements, made using a stencil. Glue them in place. If you will be hanging a snowflake, pass a strong thread through the center of one "tight spiral" and pull it out through the middle of another. Tie a bow and hang it on the tree or on the wall.

    • Let's take a toothpick for paper processing

    The basis for the picture
    To begin with, we take cardboard in orange and form a rectangle 18 centimeters wide, 24 centimeters long. It needs to be bent in half. Then, using a piece of wallpaper and curly scissors, we form a rectangle, the width and length of which we make by 17 and 23 centimeters, respectively. Then, using glue, we place the piece on the cardboard. To decorate the inside of the postcard, we need to take curly scissors and, using yellow paper, cut out a quadrangle, then glue the blank. After that, we form flowers. Forming the flowers Take quilling paper in blue, light blue, orange and pink. It is necessary to wind the paper on a toothpick. Then, you need to remove our disk and using a ruler, on a ruler stencil, dissolve the roll disk up to 19 millimeters in diameter. Then, glue at the ends. We form 5 petals in this way. Then, you need to squeeze the ends and shape the eyes. Using PVA glue, collect the flower.
    To form the core, you need to cut a little fringe and twist, glue. Fringe will yellow color... We make the leaves using light green and dark green stripes.
