• Ties for caps. How to knit a hat with knitting needles for a woman - new items From what to make strings on a hat for a child

    07.10.2021

    Good day, dear readers!

    I want to tell you how I made strings for my son to an ordinary knitted hat, because it is simply impossible for young children to walk in such an ordinary hat!

    The curious head spins uninterruptedly, and the cap of the tuda - syudy constantly moves out. Ears "on the head", you do not have time to correct. If you put on a hood, then even worse, the hat then automatically slides over your eyes. And it also happens that the child is simply tired of it and with one second movement the hat already flies overboard. In short, a cap without strings can be found anywhere, just not where it should be. And by adding strings to it, we will fix it in the right place!

    We select the yarn to match as much as possible, and try to select the thickness of the thread to match our hat.

    I used # 2 knitting needles and a yarn with the mysterious name "competitive". We need to knit 4 ears: 2 regular, and two with strings. Scored 20 loops:

    1 row: knit stitches

    2nd row: purl

    3 row: knit

    4 row: purl

    5 row: knit

    6 row: purl loops, remove 1 loops from both ends (we knit two loops together into one)

    7 row: knit

    8 row: the same as 6 row - we remove one by one

    9 row: knit

    10 row: purl, remove one at a time

    11 row: knit

    12 row: purl, remove one at a time

    13 row: knit

    14 row: purl, remove one at a time

    15 row: knit

    16 row: purl, remove one by one

    17 row: knit

    18 row: purl, remove two loops (two times, one knit together)

    And two more without strings: where 4 loops remain, we close them. That's what I did:

    Now we connect: we take one part with a tie, another without it, we pin it off with needles and I sewed it on a typewriter, it turns out more beautiful and smoother, but you can also sew it with a crochet, if someone knows how. It is necessary to sew, as shown in the figure with a dotted line, while laying the tail inward.

    Now we actually sew to the hat itself. Approximately at the distance where the child's ears should be located, (you can try it on) we pin our ears and sew them on a typewriter. That's all done!

    When crocheting or knitting children's hats, the question often arises of how to make the ties so that they are beautiful, durable and not too stiff. A good solution is to make laces twisted from yarn. It is not difficult to make them and they will fit almost any model.

    For example, let's make a lace 25 cm long. In order to determine the thickness of the cord, fold several threads and twist. Empirically, we determine how many folds the cord will be. In our case - 8 additions (threads). The number must be even, since we need to divide it in half: the strand prepared for the cord folds in half. The length of one thread is equal to: the length of the cord in finished form (25), multiplied by 2 (doubled) and multiplied by 1.5 (elongation for twisting and processing). We get: 25 x 2 x 1.5 = 75 cm or a little more. Cut off 4 of these threads, fold in half and attach with a loop to the cap.

    We fasten the part tightly, for example, on a folded towel, as shown in the photo, and twist one of the strands. We twist in the direction in which the thread is twisted, as a rule, from left to right (clockwise).

    At the end, we fasten the twisted strand with a knot so that it does not unwind and attach it with a pin to the towel.

    Tie a knot at the end

    Then we also twist the second strand and tie both with a knot.

    We tie both strands with a knot.

    As a result, the cord should twist by itself if you twist the strands evenly, and not too much or too weakly.

    Important : the only drawback of this simple method is that it is not always possible to twist the strands evenly and in moderation. You may need to practice first to get a good result.

    This is the third part of the master class on knitting a kit for a newborn (and up to 3 months). In the previous parts, I showed you how to knit sliders with knitting needles and a blouse for a baby. In this part I will show you how to knit a hat with ears with knitting needles to this set. As a result, we get a beautiful knitted set that can be worn in early autumn and late spring.

    Before knitting a baby hat with ears, you should take two measurements:

    head circumference
    and the distance from the eyebrows to the crown.

    Head circumference is measured at the maximum circumference passing from the front through the brow ridges and from the back through the protruding part of the back of the head. The distance from the eyebrows to the crown indicates how deep the cap should be.

    Since we are knitting a set for a baby from 0 to 3 months, the size of things should be a little for growth.

    Children's hat with ears and ties, knitting needles - diagram and step-by-step description:

    On average, a three-month-old child has a head circumference of 42 cm, and the depth of the hat is 14-16 cm. Taking into account that the hat should fit snugly, but not tightly to the baby's head, it is necessary to cast 95 p with green yarn on knitting needles No. 3, which corresponds 41 cm.Next, you should knit 8 rows with an elastic band 1 × 1.

    After that, switch to knitting needles No. 4 and knit with a "columns" pattern, always performing the 2nd and penultimate loops with the front loops in the front rows and the wrong ones in the purl rows. In the first row, the field of the elastic must be made to decrease so that the canvas does not become too wide.
    1 chrome., 9 p with a "columns" pattern, starting from the faces. stitches, 3 stitches together, * 15 stitches, 3 stitches together ** × 5 times, 9 stitches, 1 chrome. In this case, 3 stitches should be knitted together with a rearrangement and a central person. p: Swap the 1st and 2nd loops on the left knitting needle, and then knit them with the front one together with the 3rd loop.

    Next, knit an even fabric 8.5 cm from the typesetting edge. After that, you need to start rounding off the cap. To do this, in each 4th row, you should knit 3 stitches together (with permutation) according to the scheme:

    Knitting pattern

    Only persons are shown on the diagram. ranks. In out. rows, all loops need to be knitted according to the pattern. Repeat the rapport 4 times.

    Legend:

    When the height of the canvas from the typesetting edge reaches 17 cm (after tightening, the depth of the cap will decrease), and 25 sts remain on the needle, pull the working thread through them with a long hook and tighten.

    Knitting of ears for a hat... To ensure that the hat reliably protects the child from the wind and does not slip on the face, it is recommended to supplement it with ears and ties. To do this, the 95 p of the typesetting edge of the product must be divided into 5 equal parts of 19 p each: 2 frontal (19 + 19 = 38), 2 for the ears (19 p each), 1 at the back (19 p).
    Since the back of the cap will be divided into 2 halves by a seam, you should divide its loops in half, and add the remainder to the frontal part.
    19: 2 = 9 (remainder 1)
    38 + 1 = 39
    Thus, the loops are distributed as follows:
    right back - 9 p;
    right ear - 19 p;
    the frontal part - 39 p;
    left ear - 19 p;
    left rear part - 9 p.
    Along the typesetting edge, mark the borders of all parts with markers or pins. Then, using number 3 needles, cast on the loops of both ears.

    Knit 3 cm stitch pattern.

    After that, make decreases in each 2nd row from the right and left edges of each ear 7 times, 1 p.

    When 5 sts from the ears remain on the spoke, close all the loops.

    At the ends of the ears, fasten ribbons or long pieces of yarn, woven in the form of a pigtail. Sew the edges of the cap with a vertical knitted seam. At the end, crochet or use a needle with a large eye to hide the remaining ends of the yarn.

    Ties for hats, as well as just strings (for booties, for example).
    1) There are two strands in the tie. For each we take two pieces of thread of each color, about 80 cm each, they will fold in half. I will then tie pom-poms to the edge, so I took 100 cm each.
    2) Fold the strand in half and pull out half of the strand from the place of the fold through the posts at the end of the eyelet / tie. We do the same with the second strand. Align the ends of the strands.
    3) We begin to twist the strand from left to right, in the direction of the yarn itself. The tighter you twist, the tighter and tighter the ties. I cannot show the exact density of twisting. You need to try it - it will not work out as you want, at the end unscrew the ties and redo it (I twisted it several times for the first time).
    4) We pin the strand with a needle to the clothes so that it does not unwind. Can be pinned or clamped with Mr. Green And we twist the second strand in the same way, to the same density!
    5) We take two strands in our hands and begin to twist them (or wrap one strand around another) from right to left, just a couple of turns. Since twisting like this is pretty confusing and uniform turns are not always achieved, I decided to do it by weight.
    6) We take two strands in one hand at once and lower the hat down. We try to pull the strands from the cap with equal force - then the turns will be even.
    7) Slightly push the hanging hat to spin from right to left - the turns are formed by themselves.
    8) The hat itself will rotate as long as it has enough force to twist the strands (more than it should be in that density, the tie will still not twist). Then I twist the hat a little with my hand.
    9) We wind tightly around the fingers so that the turns are distributed better.
    10) If everything is done correctly and release the tie, it will not unwind.
    11) Make a knot at the end of the tie. We wrap one strand around the tie and pull the end of this strand through the loop. Tighten this end with a tight knot.
    12) Here is the finished tie. We cut off the ends if nothing is planned to be attached to the bottom (you can add brushes, pompons at the bottom - then the ends should be longer).
    13) The most difficult thing is to twist the two strings equally tight. When you touch them, different densities will be felt. And if you put them side by side, the turns should go at the same distance. Mine are slightly different, but this will not be noticeable in the finished product.

    Warm weed hat

    Necessary:

    • 100 g yarn weed
    • knitting needles number 6.

    Description:
    Start knitting by casting 60 stitches on the needles no. 6. Knit with a 1x1 elastic band, about 4 cm.

    In order to expand the circle, add 1 loop with a twisted yarn after every 5 loops. Then knit straight 5 cm, then start decreasing 1 loop in each front row every 5 loops. Collect the remaining loops (there will be about 10 of them) with a needle on a thread folded in half, and then fasten it.

    The hat must be sewn with a knitted stitch.
    (On YouTube, you can watch a video on how to knit a simple hat with knitting needles.)

    How to knit a fashionable hat

    After you've learned how to knit simple hats, you can move on to more complex patterns. In 2018, the following models will be relevant: a voluminous hat, a hat with earflaps, a beanie (also called a hat-stocking, -sock, -cap), a turban, a hood (or a hat-helmet), a model with a visor, a hat with a pompom, double a naughty hat with ears, a usual one with a lapel, a snood hat (or a cap-hood).

    Fashionable voluminous hat made of chunky yarn

    Universal size 53-54 cm.

    Necessary:

    • thick yarn 200 g
    • circular needles 10 mm, length 40 cm
    • loop marker
    • thick knitted needle

    Description:

    Cast on 32 loops. Place a marker at the beginning of the row and join in a circle.
    Knit with an elastic band as follows: * 2 persons, 2 out; repeat from * to end.
    Run 14 more circular rows and evenly subtract 2 loops, knitting 2 persons together in the last round of rzinki = 30 loops.
    Next, knit 12 circular rows only with front loops.

    Track. circle: knit 2 knit together = 15 loops.
    Perform 2 more rounds with knit stitches. Cut off the thread, leaving a long tail. Insert a piece into a knitted needle. Remove all loops on the thread. Pull and secure the thread on the wrong side.

    Universal hat with earflaps for women

    Size - 54 cm (head volume)

    Necessary:

    • 250 g of yarn
    • regular needles 4 mm
      The hat can be knitted in 2 strands.

    Ears:
    Cast on 6 loops and start knitting a hat with garter stitch. At the same time, add along both edges 6 times every 2 rows, 1 loop each. Then knit 14 more rows straight.

    If you add more loops, then your eye will be much wider. If you tie more rows, then likewise your ear will be longer than in the photo. So, you have knitted 2 identical ears.

    HAT WITH EAR FLAPS:

    Now we collect everything into one product. To do this, on a long knitting needle, take turns in loops from your ears and new ones for the front and back of the cap. Please note that at first, the back of the hat will gradually increase and, as a result, will consist of two parts connected by a mattress seam. For a visual representation, look at the photo of the pattern.

    Thus, you need to add 1 loop, knit with the front knit (or any other, if you do not want the option from the photo) loops of one ear, dial an additional 20 loops for the front of the hat, knit the second eyelet and dial an additional 1 loop.

    Continue knitting the hat with your pattern or front stitch, as suggested in the photo. At the same time, add loops to expand the back of the product in every second row on both sides of the knitted fabric 1 time by 2 loops and 1 time by 3 loops. This will be about 8 rows. This will be the full width of your header. If necessary, you can adjust it by adding more loops while knitting.

    You need to knit about 16 more rows, which will be the height of the cap before tapering at the crown.

    Decrease in this way: 1 chrome loop *, 5 person loops, 2 loops with a tilt to the right, 2 front loops, 2 loops with a tilt to the left, 5 person loops *, repeat from * to *, 1 chrome -th loop.
    Decrease stitches in this manner 3 more times every 2 rows, and pull the remaining loops after 2 rows. Sew the hat on the back with a mattress seam.

    For the front cuff, cast on 20 stitches around the edge and knit with garter stitch to the desired height. then close all loops and attach the lapel in any suitable way.

    For braids, you need to cut 18 threads 1 meter long, which are folded in half and threaded into the bottom of the ears and braided into braids.

    Beanie hat with knitting needles (hat-stocking, hat-sock, cap)

    Necessary:

    • circular needles 4 mm
    • 200 g medium yarn
    • tape measure

    Description:

    First of all, using a measuring tape, measure the circumference of the head on which you plan to knit a hat. Let's say you got 56 cm. This means that you will be knitting a cap of size 56.

    The second critical step is to determine the knitting density. What does knitting density mean? This is the number of loops and rows required to knit a 10x10cm fabric. What does it mean in translation into "simple language" - to correctly calculate how many loops will be required at the beginning of work.
    Cast on 22 loops and knit 10 cm with the pattern chosen for the hat.

    Iron the knitted swatch through a damp cloth. Don't need to iron it too much. Do this gently, lightly “steaming” the sample.
    Measure the prepared sample around the perimeter. Let's say you have a sample of 10x10 cm when knitting 30 rows. This means that the knitting density with this pattern will be 2 loops in 1 cm and 3 rows in 1 cm.

    That is, for a size 56 cap, you need to dial: 56x2 = 112 loops and knit 30 cm, that is, 30x3 = 90 rows.

    Cast on the circular knitting needles the required number of loops. And knit in a circle using the fishing line chosen earlier in the pattern 25-27 cm up. You will get a knitted fabric in the shape of a pipe. After 25 cm, start decreasing the stitches by knitting 2 stitches together in every third row until you have 3 stitches left on the knitting needle. When decreasing the loops, knit the fabric with garter stitch. Tear off the thread from the skein, leaving about 10 cm, and pull it through the 3 remaining loops, knitting them together and securing the end from the wrong side.

    Wool turban hat for the cold season

    Necessary:

    • 150g wool yarn
    • knitting needles number 2.5 - 3

    Knitting pattern: 1st row - 1 front loop, 1 purl loop. 2nd row - make a yarn in front of the purl loop, and remove the purl loop without knitting, knit the front loops with the face. The 3rd and all subsequent rows - in front of the purl loop of the yarn, remove the purl without knitting, and knit the front loop and yarn of the previous row together (grab from above).
    The cap consists of two parts: the turban itself and the bottom. The height of the turban is 10-12 cm.

    Description:
    Pick up the turban height, about 24 loops, and knit a strip, the length of which is half the circumference of the head minus 2 cm.
    Then divide all the loops in half. Remove the left side with a pin and temporarily do not knit, but on the right side knit 4 more rows. After that, swap both parts so that the right part goes to the left and over the left part. Then put all the loops on one knitting needle and knit the second half of the strip.

    If, when knitting the second half, two identical loops are next to each other, then knit them together (so as not to knock off the picture), and add one loop at the end of the row. When the desired length is knitted, close the loops.

    Now cast on loops along the entire length of the strip and knit 7-8 rows with an English elastic band, then 2.5 cm with a 1x1 elastic band. After that, start knitting the bottom: 2 rows of double stocking knitting (knit the front loops with the face, remove the purl loops, the thread remains before work). Then knit 2 loops together over the face, so that the front loop is over the wrong one. Knit 3-4 rows of plain stocking, then 2 rows across the face with double stocking, the next 1-2 front rows - 2 loops together. Pull off the remaining 6-8 loops. Steam the bottom through a damp cloth.

    Video "to knit a turban for a woman"

    An original bonnet (or helmet) for a very cold season

    Necessary:

    • 400 g of yarn
    • knitting needles number 3

    Description:
    On the needles, you need to dial 31 loops and knit a transverse strip of any knitting that you choose for a 110 cm long frill, so that it has a beautiful and finished look, then make the corners on it in shortened rows.
    In each row, be sure to decrease the knitted loops by 2, that is, first you need to knit 29 loops on the front side of the product, then leave 2 loops intact, twisting the 30th loop and turning the knitted product to the wrong side, then knitting the entire row to the end.

    In the next row, knit 27 stitches on the front side, leaving 4 stitches intact.

    Wrap around the 28th loop and flip it over to the wrong side again. Thus, knit the entire product.

    Having stopped not knitting all the loops of the corner, start knitting the main part, increasing the rows, which will make it possible to change the direction of knitting. First, knit three loops on the front side, and in subsequent rows increase the number of loops by 2, but only knitted.

    After tying the strip with the corners, on one side, cast about 180 loops along the edge loops and knit the product with garter stitch. Then, in the next row, remove one loop every three loops. Repeat such reductions 2 more times. Then knit 5 cm in garter stitch.

    After 5 cm for the main part of the hood, add evenly to 90 loops and again knit another 17 cm in garter stitch. Then select 30 loops in the center and knit only them, grabbing and knitting together - both at the beginning and at the end - 2 loops from the central part on each side. After all the center loops are connected to the side loops, close the remaining loops.

    Hat with visor

    Necessary:

    • 250-300 g of yarn
    • circular needles number 2.5
    • silicone visor

    Description:
    Cast on 80 loops, close in a circle and knit 4-6 rows with front stitch, i.e. face loops.

    When I connect in a circle, I leave the tail of the thread to indicate the beginning of the row. Divide the number of loops into three parts-18pet, 44p, 18p. On 44 loops we will knit a visor, making an increase of 10 loops every 4 loops. We make an increase so that the visor lies well and fits comfortably in its pocket.
    When the pocket for the visor is knitted and the reductions are made, we knit the second half of the rim.

    We fold the canvas into a hit, throw the tail of the thread over the knitting face (the beginning of the row!). We knit one loop from the knitting needle, raise one and knit from the typesetting edge. We reach about the middle of the visor, insert the blank of the visor and continue to knit the loops to the end of the row, i.e. to the tail.
    The top of the headband (i.e. the front) should be several rows larger than the inner (to hide the holes from the turns).

    And so we have 160 loops on the needles. You can start knitting the crown. We divide the loops into 8 parts (wedges), and knit a "zigzag" pattern. One wedge-20loop. Rapport- * from 1 pet. knit 3 loops, 8 persons., 3 loops together (behind the back wall), 8 persons. * - repeat 7 more times. If you want a bigger cap, you can add 16 loops = 176 pet. One wedge - 22 loops. Rapport- * from 1pet. knit 3 loops, 9 persons., 3 loops together (behind the back wall), 9 persons. * repeat 7 more times.

    We knit the desired crown height, knitting one row-pattern "zigzag", one row exactly.

    The crown is ready. We begin to make the deductions. One row - "zigzag", one row - exactly.
    One row - we knit only 3 loops together, and we do not make 3 loops from 1 loop, one row is exactly.

    When there are 16 loops left on the needles, knit 2 loops together and pull together.
    The cap is ready!

    • knitting needles 5.5 and 6 mm;
    • auxiliary spoke.

    Knitting density:
    15 sts and 20 rows = 10 cm in stitch with larger knitting needles.

    Legend:
    K8P = remove 4 loops on the auxiliary knitting needle at work, 4 persons, then 4 loops from the auxiliary knitting needle;
    K8L = remove 4 loops on the auxiliary knitting needle before work, 4 persons, then 4 persons from the auxiliary knitting needle;
    +1 (add 1 loop) = pick up the loop from the broach and knit the front loop at the back. the wall.

    Description:
    On smaller needles with thread A, cast on 73 loops and knit 7.5 cm with an elastic band, 1 person, 1 out. Finish on the purl.

    Switch to larger needles.
    1st row (RS): knit with thread B 3 persons, * + 1, 2 persons, +1, 3 persons; repeat from * to end = 101 sts.

    3rd row: 5 persons, * K8L, 4 persons; repeat from * to end.
    from 4th to 10th row: start on the purl row and knit with the front stitch (7 rows in total).
    Row 11 (RS): K1, * K8P, K4; repeat from * to 4 last loops, 4 persons.
    Row 13: Knit.
    Rows 15 and 17: Knit C with knit stitches.
    from 19th to 27th row: knit with thread C and repeat from 3rd to 11th row again.
    Row 28 (IS): Purl.

    Apex formation:
    1st row (RS): 1 persons, * 2 persons together, 3 persons; repeat from * to end = 81 loops.
    2nd and all purl rows: purl loops.
    3rd row: 1 persons, * 2 persons together; repeat from * to end = 61 loops.
    5th row: 1 persons, * 2 persons together, 1 persons; repeat from * to end = 41 sts.
    7th row: 1 persons * 2 persons together; repeat from * to end = 21 sts.

    Cut off the thread, leaving a long tail. Using a needle, pull the section through the remaining loops. Pull and secure the thread. Sew a seam.

    Pompon:
    With thread A in 2 additions, wrap the arm about 50 times. Leave a long section. Carefully remove the skein from the roll and tie it tightly. Sew a pom-pom to the top of the hat.

    Warm double hat for the winter

    Necessary:

    • circular knitting needles;
    • beloved color yarn;
    • soft yarn for lining;
    • tape measure;
    • scissors;
    • hook.

    In order to knit a double hat of your size, you need to know the circumference of your own head. Determine it with a measuring tape. Write down the total and calculate the loops for the set. The standard for which you need to knit a small square using a working thread will help you to make the calculation correctly. Count the number of loops in one centimeter of the reference.

    To knit the front of the hat, multiply this number by the circumference of the head in centimeters and add 4-5 stitches for the supply. For the lining, take the yarn created for knitting children's clothes. It does not inject or irritate the skin.

    Description:
    Type on two knitting needles, folded together, the required number of loops, pull out one of the knitting needles and start knitting an elastic band.

    The most reliable is a 1x1 gum. It stretches well and retains its original appearance for a long time. After tying 5-6cm of elastic bands, begin stocking knitting. When knitting in a circle, it is better to knit the front loops by the front thread, so they turn out to be more even.

    Knit the main part of the cap with a height of about 15 cm. Then start decreasing. If you decide to knit a double hat on radial knitting needles, divide the number of loops by 4, mark each part and first knit 2 loops of each part together. In this case, if knitting is done with a set of 5 knitting needles, knit 2 loops first of each knitting needle.

    After all the loops are closed, crochet the thread on the wrong side of the cap.

    For the lining of the cap, dial the loops from the seamy side of the main fabric, immediately after the end of the elastic. Don't forget to subtract 4-5 stitches. Do knitting with the front satin stitch. Tie the lining 1-2 cm shorter than the main part of the cap and close it in the same way.
    Wash knitwear by hand in warm water using special detergents for knitting. It is necessary to wring them out without twisting, but to dry on a terry towel in a straightened form.

    Hat with ears

    Size 56-57.

    Necessary:

    • 150 g of yarn
    • circular needles 4 mm

    Description:
    For the first "ear", you need to cast on 7 loops and knit in this order: 1Krom., 1IP, 1LP, 1IP, 1LP, 1IP, 1Krom.
    2nd and all purl rows - knit according to the pattern.

    Once there are about 21 stitches on the needles, measure the length of the "ear".
    If the length fits, then put it aside and start knitting the second one.
    If not, then knit the required length straight, but without adding loops.
    Tie the second "ear" in the same way.

    Then on circular or stocking needles (you can also knit on straight lines, but then a seam will go along the back of the head, and the loops will need to be distributed taking into account this seam) dial 33 loops, add 21 loops of the first "ear", dial 33 loops again, add 21 loops of the second "ear".

    Next, knit with a regular elastic band 1LP x 1IP for about 3-4 rows. See that the elastic pattern is harmoniously distributed on the new dialed loops.
    Those. for the front and back of the hat, which consist of 31 loops, distribute the loops as follows:

    7 elastic loops, 6 harness loops, 7 elastic loops, 6 harness loops, 7 elastic loops = 33 loops in total; for "ears", each of which consists of 21 loops, distribute the loops in this way: 6 loops of the harness, 1 PI, 6 loops of the harness, 1IP, 6 loops of the harness = 20 loops in total. Gently cut 1 loop, i.e. knit 2 loops together without ruining the pattern.

    Knit straight, repeat the harness rapport according to the pattern, about 14-16 centimeters.
    Then start decreasing the loops.
    To do this, in every 4th row, reduce evenly throughout the row:
    3 times 1/4 of the total number of loops

    Check the height of the hat, if it fits, then pull off the remaining loops with the end of the thread and fasten them. As a rule, the height of the cap with ears can be from 20 to 22 centimeters. Perhaps someone likes the taller one.
    If the height is not enough, then knit a few more rows in height, while cutting the existing loops, and close at the end.

    For the strings, attach pieces of yarn to the ends of the ears. About half as long as the desired length of the strings themselves. Take the yarn in several threads for three parts, which you then braid into a pigtail. This will be your tie, Tie a knot at the end and smooth the yarn at the bottom of the tie with scissors.
    For the top of your head, make a pompom.

    Winter knitted hat with lapel

    Size 56-57.

    Necessary

    • 150 g of yarn
    • regular needles number 5

    Description:

    The number of stitches should be divisible by 4, plus 2 edge stitches. If we knit on an adult, it will take about 98 loops: 96 + 2 = 98.
    We collect loops and start knitting the first row: we remove the edge loop without knitting, then the elastic 2x2: 2 front loops, 2 purl, we always knit the last loop of the row (edge) with the purl to maintain the even edges of the product. We always remove the first loop of the row without knitting.

    All further rows, both purl and front, are knitted according to the pattern: 2 front loops over the front ones, 2 purl loops over the back ones.
    When the required depth of the hat is reached, taking into account the lapel option you have chosen, we begin to make subtractions from the next front row: we knit the 2 purl loops together with the purl loop.

    In the second row (purl) we knit according to the figure: 2 purl loops, 1 front.
    In the third row, we reduce the front loops: instead of two front loops, we knit two loops together with the front one. It turns out an elastic band 1x1: 1 front loop from two front loops, 1 purl.

    The fourth row - according to the picture: 1 purl loop, 1 front loop.
    The fifth row (front) is knitted together in two front loops.
    And the sixth, final row - all purl loops.

    As you can see, the decrements when knitting a hat from a rectangle have the same principle as when knitting in a circle, only adjustments are made for the front and back rows.

    When knitting a hat from a rectangle, it is better to leave the end of the thread longer so that there is enough for the back seam. We collect the remaining loops on it using a hook or a large needle, pull it into a ring and carefully sew the hat. You can connect the edges of the cap in different ways (seams), this is a reason for a separate article, but the main goal in any case is to make the seam equally neat both from the front side and in that part of the wrong side, which, when the edge of the cap is turned away, will be in plain sight ... Remember this!

    That's all. We confuse, cut off the excess end of the thread and go to the fitting.
    I wish you interesting work and warm hats!

    Hit of the season - hat snood

    Necessary:

    • 200 g of yarn
    • circular needles number 5

    First, decide on the width and length of the future product, and then tie a small piece with the one you prefer. Having chosen the fragment you like, you can count the number of loops for the product. So, cast the required number of loops on the circular knitting needles. The proposed snood must be knitted with a Polish elastic band. This knitting is not very difficult, and if you knit it for the first time - do not be afraid, you will adapt quickly enough.

    The resulting chain of loops must be connected in a circle and knitted.

    First row: 3 front loops and one purl.

    Second row: two knit stitches, one purl, and one knit stitch.

    Third row: knits similarly to the first row.

    Fourth row: knit in the same way as the second.
    Then continue to knit cyclically. Do not forget that the wider the hat is, the more effective it can be placed on the head. |

    How to tie a hat with a pattern

    Hats with a pattern look more spectacular, but knitting them is much more difficult, since you need to follow both the shape of the hat and the pattern. Sometimes you get confused and have to start all over again. But if you pay attention and practice on a small sample, you will succeed the first time.

    Hat with English rubber band

    Necessary:

    • woolen yarn - 50 g at 135 m;
    • straight knitting needles No. 4 - 2 pcs.;
    • crochet hook;
    • scissors;
    • darning needle.

    1. Find out the head circumference of the future owner of the headdress and be sure to make a small square of the knitted fabric for the sample - the knitting density is always calculated individually. When knitting a hat with an English elastic band, an elastic, almost dimensionless product is created. In the example described, with a head circumference of 55-60 cm, a knit density of 18 loops for 46 rows, 78 loops are typed for the rim of the cap. Knitting needles are used straight, medium diameter (No. 4).
    You can start knitting a hat with an English elastic band without making an elastic border-rim. At the same time, you can make the fabric of the product both with a fold, and without it. Pay attention: 1x1 elastic band fixes the edge well!

    2. Tie the headband in straight and purl rows, alternating between knit 2 and purl 2 in succession. When 8 rows are ready, start knitting the hat with an English elastic band. In the first row of the pattern, you will need to make uniform increases, bringing the total number of loops to 95.
    To add loops, divide the row into equal segments, and in each knit with the front ones along an additional thread bow. To do this, grab and twist the cross threads between adjacent loops.

    3. Run a fluffy fabric with an English elastic until you reach a height of 25 cm from the edge of the rim. To form the main jersey pattern, alternate the loops in the following sequence. In the first row of the pattern, do only the front ones; start the second row with an edge loop (it is removed untied); do the facial. Next, repeat the so-called double knit stitches, inserting the right knitting needle into the thread bow of the previous row. Finishing loops - front and edge.

    4. Begin the third row of English elastic also with an edge loop, then alternate between double and regular knit loops until only a couple of thread arms are left on the left knitting needle. Knit the first of them with a double front, the second will be hem. Repeat the pattern over the finished sample of the second and third rows until you have made the main headdress of the desired size.

    5. Start shaping the top of the hat. To round off the knitted fabric and pull it off from above, make uniform decreases in loops in straight and reverse rows: at the beginning of the edge loop; during a row of 3 thread bows are knitted together with the usual front; at the end - edging. In the next row, make decreases without leaving the hem, always knit 3 loops together.

    6. Cut off the working yarn, leaving a "tail" about 10 cm long. Pull the open loops of the last row with it and pull the crochet inside the hat. Form a strong knot.

    7. Turn the hat with the wrong side down, strip the knitted fabric and carefully join the side edges of the part. Sew a neat bridging seam using a darning needle and working ball thread. To keep the stitching flexible enough and the garment not deformed, do not overtighten the stitches.

    Stylish hat with braids

    Necessary:

    • 150 g of yarn
    • knitting needles number 3.5,
    • knitting needles number 4, 5

    I knitted on two knitting needles, because on circular, I have a large thread and it turns out to be very tight and large holes between the loops, but I like it more tightly. Then I sewed.
    I scored 96 stitches on the knitting needles. Knitting needles No. 3.5. Knitted in 2 strands, yarn with wool 20%, 135g by 50m.

    Tied an elastic band 2 × 2 about 6 cm.
    I switched to knitting needles number 4.5

    Pattern:

    • (P2, k6, p2, k2) - repeat to end of row.
    • knit according to the pattern, where there is purl, where there are faces - faces.

    Knit 6 rows in this way and in the 7th row do overlaps where there are 6 faces. (YouTube is full of videos on how to knit braids). I did this: I transfer 3 loops to a toothpick, I knit the next 3 knit stitches, I return these 3 loops from the toothpick to the left knitting needle and knit them too. Then, according to the figure, 2 purls, 2 persons, 2 purls and again overlaps. So until the end of the row.

    After these overlaps, we knit 1 row on the seamy side according to the drawing, I do not count it.

    And repeat all 6 rows again, in the 7th overlap
    And again repeat all 6 rows and in the 7th overlap
    In total, we made 3 braids. And from the beginning of knitting, they tied about 15-17 cm.
