Album “Knitting Your Hobby. Special issue No. 3 2012 "

We need 20 of these motives. Then we begin to collect the yoke.

The front part of the yoke consists of 5 motifs, the back of 3 motives. I collected them with a crochet, but you can also sew with a needle.

Then, with 5-7mm knitting needles from white grass, we type 40 loops freely and knit a loose fabric so that it moves, we knit freely until we run out of 2 skeins of 100 g each. We knit two such fabrics. I have a length of about 120 cm and sew the first fabric to the yoke with a crochet on the front side with black "grass" threads.

Then we tie the second strip of grass. I drew the diagram by hand.

Sew 6 motifs with flowers in the center from the side parts. Smooth the corners, filling them with st s1n and 1v.

We tie the entire product with black grass, including the neck. That's all. You can dress and admire yourself.

    Product characteristics.

The stole is designed for an open weekend dark dress to the floor on cool days. Very warm. You can fantasize with ways of wearing - open or closed neck and shoulders, one open shoulder, poncho shape, boho style options, just a stole.

Stole size at the top 136 cm, at the bottom - 242 cm, on the side - 78 cm.
    The weight 780 BC

Knitted from bottom to top in one piece with front loops. The color is very light yellow-gold. Four stripes of grass in one thread with one thread Cotton Soft - the color is the same light yellow to match the grass. Three nets between the main stripes and strapping of a stole are crocheted, arches, in one and three threads FOREVER simpl.
All thread changes are made only from the seamy side.
A triple thread is obtained in the process of knitting without rewinding the balls: make a loop from the free end of the thread, hold its ends with your fingers, stretch the thread from the ball through this loop, pull it to any length; when the triple thread ends, pull the thread again from the ball into the newly formed loop to form a new loop, and so on.

Features of knitting grass with knitting needles: Make sure that the grass pile is always directed downward. To preserve the shape and size of the stole, add an additional thread - cotton, wool or another, from which the canvas does not deform like grass.

Features of knitting FOREVER simpl: To avoid tangling the ball, a curly pedicure device made of porous material is used to wind the thread (available in many stores, very cheap, can be disposable). The thread is tight. It holds so tightly that you have to periodically unwind by hand, which is much easier than unraveling tangled slippery threads. The second option is to slightly dampen slippery threads while knitting.

    Stole knitting process

    Grass strip

With needles, cast on 10,218 stitches with weed and additional thread. Knit 21 rows with knit stitches. Knit the last loops of the rows with a purl. One strip - about one ball of grass.
    Strip from FOREVER simpl.
Row 22. From the seamy side, crochet with a triple fold thread: 2 tbsp. b / n, * 2 vp, 1 cst in the next loop of the lower row, * 2 tbsp. b / n. A total of 213 arches.

23-29 rows. Knit 7 rows of 213 arches from 3 vp.

30 row: change the thread using a set of 218 grass loops on a needle number 7 with a crochet number 2.5.

So that there is no noticeable transition from the seamy side, you can knit one double crochet and one air loop into each arch with grass with an additional thread, and then dial 218 loops on the needles number 7 from the canvas of grass and knit 21 rows with the front ones.

Rows 31 - 51: Knit the second strip of grass with additional thread Row 21 with knit stitches. Knit the last loops of the rows with a purl.
52 row: Change the thread to FOREVER simpl by analogy with row 22. Knit the second strip of the mesh with the FOREVER simpl threefold thread according to the scheme * cst, 3 vp * cst.
Rows 53-54: knit 7 rows of arches from three air loops.
Rows 55-59: knit 7 rows of arches from five air loops.
60 row: change the thread, dialing 218 loops with weed with knitting needles number 7.
Rows 61 - 83: Knit the third strip of grass from the entire ball of yarn, finishing knitting in the front row.
84 row. Change the thread to FOREVER simpl by analogy with row 22. Link 132 arches from 5 vp. At the beginning and at the end of each row, 2 tbsp. s / n.
85 - 91 rows: Knit the third stripe of the mesh with a triple-fold FOREVER simpl thread, reducing the number of arches to 124 according to the pattern * cst, 5 vp * cst.
92 row. Change the thread to grass. Cast on loops.

Rows 93 - 113: Knit fourth strip of grass on 128 sts with 7 knitting needles.
114 row: close the last row of grass with arches from FOREVER simpl by analogy with row 22.

The base of the stole is ready.

Strapping the side parts of the stole

On each side, in turn, crochet 40 arches with grass according to the scheme: * sst, 3 vp * sst. Then knit 10 rows of arches * sst, 5 vp * sst., Aligning the edges.

Knitted from grass and wool yarn. I knitted about 8-9 cm with grass, and 7-8 cm with an openwork mesh, without going over to the hook.

    I give my master class.

For some reason, other MKs do not indicate how many loops are typed and what mesh they knit. I'll tell you how I did it.

Three skeins of weed went, and a little more than a skein of plump white yarn, or rather the color of milk. I don’t know how they put in two skeins of weed, they knit the same 5 strips of weed and 4 strips of mesh. All three skeins full of weed went from me. I gathered 150 loops of grass and knitted with garter stitch (all knitted) Knitting needles number 5. I tied 8 cm of grass, cut off a thread and attached a woolen one, I also knitted only a mesh with knitting needles -

    1 row-1 yarn over, 2 stitches together.

2 row-All loops are facial, all yarns are wrong side.

Knitted from November 1 to November 10, today. Here is the edge where I changed the threads. Then I will close all the threads. These two ends of the stole are also made with grass about 8-9 cm, but no one writes how this is done. The net was knitted with a specially thick yarn, you can see it in this picture, so as not to fold the threads of ordinary yarn in two folds to knit a net for such a stole.

I tied two strips with weed, typed 100 loops, all facial. At the exit, the stole turned out to be 69 cm wide. One craftswoman told me that the grass does not stretch at all and you can knit it alone, as she does. Many knit with an additional thread so that the grass does not stretch too much. I knitted as I was told, without additional thread.

Each strip will go to each end of the stole. I sewed them on with a thick needle of grass.

    I sewed a strip end-to-end with a stole.

After the trim was sewn on, the width became 67 cm. This is how it looks. I also sewed on the second "fur" strip from the other end of the stole.

I closed all the strings and the stole is ready. Of course it stretches, but not fatally

The stole was 150 cm long and 67 cm wide. It was difficult to lay it out, it still stretches.

I think if the grass is even fluffier, it will be even better.

All herbs of different fluffiness from different manufacturers.

And now she's on a hanger, it's a pity I don't have a dummy to show with dignity

So far, I just show it without anything, I modeled it like a tunic like this. The mesh is clearly visible and what a long back.

    So of course it's better.

And I stabbed the asymmetry like this, it also lies very beautifully

    Here, too, stabbed with pins.

The back and lower back are closed due to the width of the stole. In general, of course, it is better to knit a little more authentic and wider in order to model this way. Although so good too. The sweater is beige, I had to take black for contrast.

Here's an elegant stole turned out. Maybe I will additionally knit a trim from grass, then I'll show it. Of course, this stole can be thrown over the shoulders as a scarf, and it can be classically thrown over, and how to make a neckpiece by connecting the ends in front and fixing it with a pin or ribbon

So I worked for 10 days, almost every evening I knitted a strip, as the time was. It could have been invested in 8 days if there is no other work, and if knitting all day, probably even faster. I hope I told everything clearly how I did it, if that ask.
