• Creative competition for teachers and children “Autumn is a glorious time. Autumn creativity Games with leaves - it's easy

    10.04.2024

Lizaveta is 2 years and 10 months old

For the past week and a half, all we did was glue, draw, or otherwise create. The reason for this is autumn, and Lizavetkin’s slight runny nose, which prevented us from spending such familiar and familiar 6-8 hours a day outside. How unrealistic it is to have a lot of time in a day if you spend it within the walls of the house!
We were inspired in our creative searches by this bouquet collected by Lizaveta.

I’ll put my ideas for autumn creativity, or at least what can try to claim the title “wasn’t blatantly stolen from the Internet,” at the very end of the post. First, I’ll tell you about what was collected in the vastness of the great-and-omnipotent-world-wide-web. I provide links to the original posts, where you can see a more or less detailed description of the technologies, as well as images “from the author.” And so that it’s not completely boring, I’ll talk about my research with materials for completing the work

I'll start with a blog that many people probably know: KOKOKOkids
Their fall post from last year has been quoted or repeated by every self-respecting "children's" blog or forum, and highly appreciated by any Internet resident weighed down by children
And here he is - http://www.kokokokids.ru/2011/10/fall-art.html
This one is also extremely interesting, although Lizaveta and I didn’t take anything from it http://www.kokokokids.ru/2011/09/fall-leaves-craft-ideas.html

    So, from the very beginning:
Leaf Printing or prints with painted leaves is super easy, simple and accessible to almost every child. The only difficulty we encountered is that not every paint is suitable. Slightly thickened (read old) gouache turned out to be ideal. With it we got such wonderful prints.

If the paint is too liquid, like, for example, our favorite ELC paints in huge cans, or fresh liquid gouache, or not very liquid gouache, but Lisa didn’t shake the water off the brush well, then it won’t turn out very well...

Most of what didn’t work out very well for one reason or another was put to work like this

The rowan branch turned out wonderful. Only we didn’t print the leaves, but glued real ones, and made the rowan from plasticine

Ink-bloated trees are not a super-simple task. You have to blow quite a lot and strongly, without my help Lisa wouldn’t even have been able to handle one tree. But together we created a lot of beauty.

The idea of painting something with a flower spray bottle turned out to be a failure. If a sheet of paper was lying on the table, then it was inconvenient to spray on it, plus the spray bottle refused to work in this position. When I tried to fix the sheet on the kitchen cabinet door, the paint began to drip down in drops, resulting in not splashes, but smudges.

We couldn’t make confetti from a hole punch due to the lack of a hole punch. But we found a leaf-shaped hole punch. And we got this laminated wood

But we really enjoyed “developing” the leaves with wax crayons. It turned out easy and simple without my participation. Great activity for a child!

We tried to develop the leaves using paint. It turned out mediocre. I myself first checked the suitability of various paints in different concentrations. It worked only with watercolors. When Lisa did it, she didn’t use enough paint, it turned out pale.

I found it extremely inconvenient to work with a sponge - no matter how you cut it, the sponge does not fit into the cell of the watercolor. That’s why we used these “jabs” that I made a million years ago.

The beautiful autumn sky, or rather the sky and the earth, turned out perfectly! Lisa painted a bunch of backgrounds for subsequent works. At the same time, she herself guessed to outline the horizon line in advance. And I advised her to use a simple pencil for this.

Making and using stamps was not so easy. Cutting from an eraser is a dubious pleasure; I didn’t get into it. It’s much more pleasant to make stamps from plasticine (I used sculptural clay), but they quickly flatten and require correction. It was not possible to draw anything useful with stamps. But Lisa liked the process itself.

To make plasticine stamps, I used these wooden stencils.

By the way, we tried to paint with the stencils themselves, but it turned out mediocre... Again, the problem is that Lisa cannot bring the paint to the desired thickness. Her paint is either too thick, and therefore nothing comes out, or it is too liquid, and with the slightest movement it spreads under the stencil.

The drawing of the rain was not a success... They smeared the sheet with watercolors and placed it on the windowsill on the street side. They left it in the rain for a couple of hours - they came... and were disappointed... nothing beautiful came out... Lisa says: “Mom, well, I told you right away, the rain doesn’t know how to draw, it doesn’t have handles.”

The wrapping paper turned out great! We stamped it about three or four meters.
But a good piece was already used to wrap Lisa’s gift.

Here on Adalin’s website http://adalin.mospsy.ru/l_03_00/l0229.shtml the ideas mostly repeat the materials from KOKOKOkids, but there are a few original ones.

For example, coloring a sheet using corrugated paper. Our paper was called, it seems, crepe, I don’t know exactly what the difference is.

It was painted well and simply, but the yellow color practically did not appear; whitish spots remained on the sheet. The instructions suggest thoroughly moistening the paper with water. Our test paper got wet very easily, so we initially ran a damp sponge over the sheet of paper, and then, after attaching each piece, we blotted it with the sponge again. In the end, Lisa created such a swamp that a sheet of landscape paper could no longer withstand the influx of water. The edges have faded a little. So it’s probably better to use watercolor paper. But it turned out very nice. And most importantly, technologically the entire process is completely accessible to the child.

The idea of coloring dried white leaf prints was stolen from the same site. Quite funny.

We tried to make leaves with a blurred outline. It turned out mediocre. Or rather, Lisa left me on the very first leaf. I finished the rest. Instead of wax crayons, we used dry pastel, it definitely smudges better.

As I already said, the attempt to use a spray bottle for flowers was a failure, but the spraying technique in this very case was very successful. But I’ll be honest – the process is dirty! Splashes fly in all, all, all directions. But! The optimal way was found by placing the child and all the necessary junk in a bath. Paints - watercolor or highly diluted gouache.

And the outlines of the leaves were blown out through biopens - these are felt-tip pens that you can blow into and they will spray. I already wrote about them probably a year ago.

There are a huge number of variations of autumn trees on the Internet, for example, here http://www.momto2poshlildivas.com/2012/09/the-sunday-showcase-92912-fall... But I liked the idea of a tree from the blog Sun Hats and Wellie Boots most of all http://www.sunhatsandwellieboots.com/2012/10/3d-hand-trees-exploring-4-s...
In the original version, the tree explains the change of seasons. It's only autumn here, but perhaps the tree will live with us for a year or two

And now the fact that I didn’t seem to look anywhere Although who knows me? In any case, ideas are as old as time.

    Autumn background using decoupage sticks

Applique tree on autumn background. Lisa really liked it. We made a whole lot of these trees.

And after such wonderful trees settled down to live on the door of the refrigerator, which was pleasing to the eye, but I no longer had the strength to glue them, somehow the idea to draw them came by itself.
Of course, I drew the outline. The background was painted in parallel - me on my sheet, Lisa on hers. When the background had dried, I had to outline Lizino’s tree again with a black felt-tip pen for clarity.

We painted both trees together. I drew the thin branches, and Lisa did the rest. Then I slightly corrected all sorts of blots - and it turned out to be shiny!

For one of the foliage drawing variations, we used stamp pads.

Lisa loves birch trees. I remembered that a birch trunk comes out well from newspaper. And it turned out so beautiful! Beauty is Lizino's main word these days

It’s Liza’s thunderstorm... or thunder... I always confuse it... disgraceful... and the author of the idea is asleep, I can’t even clarify

Tree leaves made from dyed rice flakes. The rice flakes were not edible, but they were of a very suitable shape. Painted with food coloring. they became ideal foliage for the tree...

... and a wonderful filler for Sensory Tub

in which we also posted some of my night and Lisa’s daytime works:
    - tree
    - animals made from chestnut trees: one of them introduced himself as a bear, and the other as an owlet. And also a boletus man made of walnut (I wonder if I’ll ever be able to wash myself off super-glue?) And I also liked this idea with a chestnut puppet theater on sticks http://www.redtedart.com/2011/09/ 21/chestnut-crafts/
    - and a family of hedgehogs made from chestnut wrappers
    - Forest Nymph
    - and Liza’s pine cone, brought back from the dacha in the summer

We also made this mobile. Basically, the entire burden fell on my shoulders, but Lisa approved the idea (!), helped collect and select materials, and actively participated in gluing the leaves

Inspired by Halloween... Almost all imported posts about autumn somehow come down to pumpkins. And we had a watermelon standing there, looking at us with honest eyes - and we decided: why not? and our watermelon first became a lamp

But its fate as a lamp was not long, because in the morning of the next day it had already turned into a house for the inhabitants of the sensory box. Lisa made the rug at the entrance herself.

P.S. Many works use colored pastel paper for the background. The album has four paper colors: yellow, pink, dark blue and light blue. The colors of the paper are very soft, delicate, not flashy, ideal for backgrounds. The paper itself is very thick, as for drawing or even thicker, with a loose structure, on which any paint, glue, etc. fits perfectly. The price is quite reasonable, about 50 rubles per album. Great stuff, but I bought one to try in the store, but I can’t get it anywhere else. But if you’re lucky enough to find one, I highly recommend it!

“The cheapest trip is to go on a book trip.” Nadeya Yasminska

Most people don't like autumn. At this time of year we see only slush, rain, grayness and cold. But once you throw away this negativity, you will see how beautiful this time is. Therefore, you should not fall into depression and experience autumn. Today we will tell you why autumn is the best time for inspiration.

    1. Color palette

The most obvious and most controversial point. Of course, in many cities, the golden-red carpet of leaves quickly turns into a dirty mess. And if this is your case, then you just need to raise your head up and you will plunge into the abundance of warm and bright colors that trees delight us with every autumn. All this beauty cannot help but inspire.

    2. Romance

Autumn is the most romantic time of the year, no matter what they say about spring. The summer heat is not particularly conducive to the desire to cuddle in bed or even take a walk holding hands. The autumn coolness is simply created for hugs and tenderness. When the wind is blowing outside the window, you just want to cuddle up to a loved one and bask a little in a cozy embrace. Find inspiration in this warm romance. Then you won't have to struggle with creative block.

    3. A valuable lesson from autumn

Every year, autumn teaches us one important truth - you need to appreciate what you have. For three whole months we were spoiled by the summer with hot sun and warmth, but what did we do? Have you been hiding under the air conditioners and whining about how hot it is outside? So, as soon as autumn only gives a hint of the upcoming winter cold, the heat ceases to seem like something bad. Many even try to escape bad weather to hot countries. So, appreciate the warmth that we still have left.

    4. Treats

It is in autumn that the last and most generous harvest occurs. This is just the time when you should fully recharge with vitamins and unwind your soul by eating your favorite vegetables and fruits. After all, very soon the ripe and inexpensive gifts of nature will disappear from the shelves, and they will be replaced by unripe fruits and vegetables of dubious quality, which will also cost quite a lot.

    5. Long nights

Night is an unusual time of day. It is at night that the most unusual and entertaining ideas come to mind. It is at night that we can be attacked by incredibly powerful inspiration. There is something in this mysterious darkness and calm. Therefore, lovers of the night simply must love autumn, since at this time of year the nights become much longer. Well, owls can sleep peacefully in the morning and not hide their eyes from the bright rays of the sun.

    6. Cozy clothes

In the fall, no one will be able to laugh at you if you are sitting in front of the computer in old, warm pajamas with a child's drawing. It is at this time of year that we can wrap ourselves in a warm sweater and enjoy its comfort and softness. Autumn is the time for elegant coats and raincoats, favorite scarves and funny hats. Experiment with your wardrobe and add a couple of bright details to it. Let your clothes inspire you.

    7. Autumn is the time for books

It seems that autumn is simply made for reading. I just want to wrap myself in a warm blanket, grab a cup of something hot and dive into a good book. Readers will no longer need to come up with a reason to stay at home. Bad weather outside is an excuse for all occasions. And now you can calmly delve into reading without fear of being distracted again.

    8. Last gatherings around the fire

In the summer you want to stay as far away from the fire as possible. An autumn bonfire helps companies unite, because because of the cool weather, everyone will hug each other and surround it. Treat yourself to shashlik, bread fried over a fire or baked potatoes, because you won’t taste this for quite a long time.

    9. Peace

After a stormy summer, I want to retire, to be in a calm and peaceful environment. Autumn evokes a slightly melancholy and creative mood, which may well attract the long-awaited muse. Give in to the calmness of autumn, observe what is happening around you. Take inspiration from the world around you and pour it into your creativity.

    10. The opportunity to be children

They will never look askance at a person playing with autumn leaves. For some reason, this childishness is forgivable at any age. Therefore, allow yourself to fully rustle the leaves and feel like a child. This helps overcome creative decline and significantly improve your mood.

Halloween is also celebrated in the fall. And this holiday is a great way to express yourself by creating an unusual costume. And, when you come to the party, you will see so many varied and creative clothes that you simply cannot be in a state of creative crisis anymore.

Main photo taken from the site

Golden autumn is already in full swing in our city. Wherever you go, the leaves of birches and poplars are turning yellow, rowan trees are blazing, maples are playing with all their colors, leaves are rustling under your feet and circling overhead...

... Which means it’s time for autumn creativity with children. We collect colorful leaves on our walks, and at home we create for our own pleasure!

First, I’ll show you our last year’s work.

    1. AUTUMN TREES

For the trunks we used toilet paper rolls: we painted them with brown gouache. Crowns are colored cardboard onto which dried leaves were glued (small ones were whole, and large ones were torn into pieces). From the resulting trees we made a real autumn forest)

And these are the latest works:

    2. MIRACLE TREE

Apply brown gouache to the baby's palm with a wide brush and slap it on a sheet of paper. We have a tree trunk with branches!

As soon as the trunk dries, we smear the tops of the branches with a glue stick, apply dried leaves, and carefully press with our fingers.

    3. AUTUMN FOREST

Such a beautiful picture came out of our joint creativity with my daughter (3 years 3 years old). First, Vika smeared maple and oak leaves with gouache and made imprints on a sheet of paper with them. Then together we marked the sky and the grass. When everything was dry, we drew the tree trunks with a felt-tip pen. And then Vika did her favorite thing - sticking stickers on the resulting forest picture: nuts, mushrooms, animals.

    4. BIRCHES

We glue the trunk (a long triangle) onto colored cardboard, and use black wax chalk to depict birch bark and twigs with dashes. Using a glue stick, glue on small birch leaves.

    6. APPLICATIONS

And these wonderful works - applications from autumn leaves were sent by members of our group in contact.

Every season has its own charm. And each carries the potential for the creative and emotional development of a child. This article will focus on autumn creative ideas that you can implement with your baby.

Leaf fall, leaf fall... Yellow leaves are flying...

Immerse yourself in autumn with your child. Take a walk in the autumn and absorb, absorb into yourself its enchanting beauty and grandeur. How nice it is to walk through the autumn leaves, listening to their rustling. Ask your baby how he thinks, what are they rustling about, what are they talking about to each other? Let your child bathe in the foliage by diving into it and bathe you in it by making a leaf fountain. Notice how the falling leaves swirl and dance smoothly. Let the baby “turn” into a leaf and also spin in a waltz.

    Selecting autumn music

When you come home, invite your child to listen to several musical compositions, different in tempo and mood. Let him choose the one that reminds him of autumn leaves. The composition from the movie “Autumn Marathon” is very successful, in my opinion. It clearly feels the fall of leaves in calm, calm weather, then increasing gusts of wind and then calm again. Help your baby feel it in melody and spin around to the music with him.

Games with leaves: developing imagination and empathy

Also, a child can collect leaves and invent what mood and character each of them has, based on their appearance. Which one is the funniest? Maybe this brightest fiery red leaf? And who is the saddest - this withered, curled-up leaf grandfather? Who is the leaf traveler? But here it is - with slightly torn edges, frayed from long wanderings.

But this leaf fluttering in the wind, what is its mood? Is he afraid to tear himself away from his mother-twig and that’s why he’s trembling in fear? Or is he thirsty for adventure and impatiently eager to jump off the branch and fly after his brothers?

Such tasks develop not only the imagination, but also the child’s emotional sphere and the ability to empathize.

Ask your child, what does this lush, beautiful bush look like? To the firebird! What else? Or maybe it was autumn that lit a fire to warm up a little? Or did he put on a golden outfit to go to the autumn ball? Or did he bathe in the sun and therefore he himself began to shine, sparkling with sunlight? Look for as many colorful pictorial similes and metaphors as possible!

Now let's put the leaves into piles

Playing with leaves can also help your baby learn the concepts of size, shape and color. Let the child collect as many different pieces of paper as possible, then offer to divide them into groups based on similarity.

Here the leaves are divided into groups depending on size.

And here it depends on the form.

And here the sign of distribution is color.

Please note that the yellow leaves are only conditionally the same color. They have many different shades. There is lemon, orange, and copper here. The same variety exists in both red and green.

And with the help of leaves you can develop logic by laying out patterns from them.

Let the child continue the row. Invite him to come up with his own similar patterns for you.

You can also draw on the leaves! These can be arbitrary geometric patterns and ornaments. And you can turn leaves into animals.

Yes, and it is not forbidden to use scissors.

    Drawing the image of Autumn

Now invite your child to draw the sorceress Autumn in the form of a person. If the child is not yet proficient with a pencil, it is enough to “draw” a verbal picture. Perhaps our Autumn will have a cloud instead of hair, berries or mushrooms instead of hairpins, a crown of leaves, clothes made of raindrops.

If you have a daughter, try bringing your Fall look project to her by dressing her up in this fluffy fall outfit.

What delicacy can you give Autumn for her birthday? Imagine with your baby, coming up with a recipe for a dish that will delight her. For example, this one.

Cake recipe as a gift for Autumn

Fill the pan with one hundred and eleven raindrops. Place five maple and seven birch leaves. Add a bunch of dead grass. Salt with autumn morning frost collected from September flowers. Add rainbow to taste. Mix everything thoroughly and place in the oven for fifteen minutes. After baking, the cake can be decorated with whipped cream from autumn clouds.

To make it clearer to your child what recipes are and how they are created, invite him the day before to participate with you in preparing some real dish. Accompany all actions with comments: “Let's take a pan and pour two glasses of water into it. Now add a spoonful of salt, pour a glass of buckwheat..."

Invite your child to draw an invented recipe. You can fashion a dish from plasticine or salt dough. Another option is to make an applique. You can use real ingredients (the same leaves, for example).

    Games with leaves are easy!

Such activities can easily fit into autumn walks and add variety to them. No special time is required for preparation; almost all games are improvisations that will develop the imagination and enrich the emotional world of not only the baby, but the parents themselves. We will continue to learn how to write autumn stories, play educational games with the gifts of autumn - vegetables and fruits, and also come up with unusual names for the autumn months.
