1. So, March 8 is just around the corner - it's time to prepare gifts and surprises. I think any mother or grandmother will be pleased to receive a beautiful handmade candy vase.
2. Oddly enough, but first we will do the work on the bugs (from our own experience). This will avoid missteps and make the process of making crafts easier.
The shape of the bottom is made of thick cardboard, for which you need to cut out two identical blanks (in my version, these are hearts) and glue them together. The first mistake I made was that I immediately started sticking toothpicks to the bottom. And it was necessary to decoupage the bottom blanks with a napkin or glue them with colored paper before gluing the toothpicks!
Tip: it will be easier to stick toothpicks if you first make holes in the bottom with a needle, then drop a little PVA glue, and only then screw in the toothpick. Holes in the workpiece are made with a distance of 1 cm.
The second mistake made, which can be seen in the photo, is that you do not need to indent from the edge inward, since you will have to cut off excess cardboard, and this is quite difficult to do, since the bottom is glued from two layers.
3. When the blank with toothpicks is ready, start wrapping yarn. The action is quite simple, but requires care and perseverance.
4. When the vase is woven to the middle, a large bead is strung on each toothpick and continues to weave to the top.
5. After the vase is woven to the top, small beads are glued to each toothpick. After that, the lower and upper parts of the vase are pasted over with a decorative ribbon or chain with decorations.
6. Since I made a mistake at the first stage of creativity, I had to correct it. I glued pink paper to the bottom, and a pink braid of yarn hid the ugly joint.
7. The colors in the photo are fully consistent with reality - the vase turned out to be cute and very delicate.
8. The second round vase I made. Attention! Errors can be similar to the first option.
Stages of work:
1. Two blanks are cut out of cardboard and glued together.
2. The bottom is glued with paper, bending its ends to the wrong side.
3. Carefully make holes with a needle, keeping a distance of 1 cm.
4. A little PVC glue is dripped into the holes and a toothpick is inserted, then the product is left to dry.
5. The first row - large beads, then in a certain order they are braided with a toothpick thread.
9. After correcting all the mistakes, the vase is ready!
