“In our country, people with disabilities have recently begun to be shown on TV. And people, I think, are just not used to it yet. But it seems to me that the situation is gradually changing for the better. This is noticeable even by the reaction of people on the street. If 15 years ago they looked at me with big eyes, now this is no longer the case. In general, I think you need to start treating yourself well first, so that others begin to treat you well. For the time being, Yulia's ingrained wary attitude towards the disabled did not really interfere. She performed in various competitions, and very successfully. In 2008, Yulia, according to her, began a "rebellious period." She listened to rock music, in which she was attracted not only by the songs themselves, but also by the fundamental difference with show business, when it doesn’t matter exactly how you look, “at least put a bucket on your head,” she later shared her impressions. Her idol was Zemfira.
For six months, Yulia worked as a singer in a restaurant, and at the age of 19 she assembled her own rock band TerraNova. The guys began to actively perform at concerts, and quite successfully, but they also had other interests - work, families. No one, except Yulia, was going to devote his life to music. The group disbanded two years later.
Julia had another hobby, psychology. At one time, she hoped that her hobby would turn into a profession, and even entered the psychology department of the Modern Humanitarian Academy, but dropped out in her third year.

Yulia is the paternal cousin of Oksana Samoilova, wife of Russian rapper Dzhigan.
