A warm scarf will create an interesting pattern if it is made with a snake. The pattern begins with a chain, but after knitting 10 loops, you begin to connect the next four loops with the beginning of the chain using double crochets:

The second row is an arc of 7 air loops, periodically attached with single crochets to the initial chain with a step of 4 loops. In the second row, a “shell” is knitted from every fifth arc: seven double crochets. The remaining arcs are knitted in a checkerboard pattern. There should be three arcs between the “shells”. In the third row, “shells” are performed like this: *double crochet, chain stitch* – 6 times. At the end of the shell, after the 7th double crochet stitch, the chain stitch is not performed, since there is a stitch for catching the lower arc. In this row, only two arcs are made between the shells. In the “shells” of the fourth row, two chain stitches are already made between double crochets. There is already one arc left between the “shells”. The fifth row is a border of “shells”. There, 5 double crochets are knitted from two air loops. And between them, a single crochet is knitted at the top of the double crochet stitch. The single arc of the previous row is captured with a single crochet - the only element between the shells.
Using this principle, one half of an openwork scarf is crocheted. Then you need to return to the original chain and tie the same thing in the other direction. Then you will have a ready-made scarf for summer.

If it’s hard to immediately take on the “shells” design, then you can make a basic air scarf from just the arcs. It’s a good idea to create an openwork scarf from round arc motifs, combining them with each other. Each element is knitted separately: a ring is cast on, tied with a row of single crochets, then arcs are knitted. Each arc consists of a chain of air loops ending with a single crochet, knitted into the base. With each row, the length of the arc increases proportionally so that the motif is flat.
Otherwise, the openwork scarf will not come out flat, and such a product may look ugly.

The direction of knitting goes from the center in a circle, so the chain of loops should be long. The first row consists of alternating five chain stitches and a connecting stitch, knitted into every sixth of the initial chain.
In the second row, after three lifting loops in the first arch, knit 8 double crochets, in the second arch - one connecting stitch, 5 air stitches, another connecting stitch in the third arch, continue knitting the same pattern, only there should be double crochets in each first arch 9. Knit like this in the round. In the corners you need to knit five air loops for rounding.
The third row (lift - 3 loops) consists of double crochets, alternating with one chain stitch; in the arch of the chain of chain loops there will be a connecting post.
In the fourth row, at each top of the double crochet, knit 5 chain stitches between them.
Fifth row: connect the first two arches with the same pattern, in the third arch connect 9 double crochets. Continue the arch and fan pattern to the end of the circle.

To make the product large and light enough, you will need a thin thread. It’s good if it has the following characteristics: weight - 60 grams, length - 260 meters. It is better to choose a hook number 5 or 6.
The beginning of each row is a rise of five air loops. They are equivalent to one column with three crochets.
The basis of knitting is a chain of 5 loops. In the first row, work a double crochet stitch into the very first stitch of the cast-on chain. The series is completed. It turns out that it consists of two large columns.
Second: after lifting, knit 2 double crochets at the top of the second stitch of the previous row.
In the third and each subsequent odd row, to the center of the scarf, knit the first stitch with three crochets at the base of the instep, and then one stitch in each loop.
In all subsequent even rows, a double stitch with three crochets must be knitted from the last loop.
Decrease from the middle of the scarf. Instead of a double column from one base, knit two with a common top.
To knit the jagged edge of such a children's scarf you will need to knit along the front side of the product:
- 7 air loops;
- connecting, single crochet, half double crochet in the first three loops;
- air;

You need to start knitting them with a chain of such a number of loops that its length is equal to the width of the future scarf. But at the same time, the total number of air loops must be even. Because the pattern has a repeating part based on two loops.
Then repeat rows that repeat the same element of the pattern - an arch of two double crochets and a chain loop between them. This diagram can be seen in more detail in the figure.
Scarf snood
These are very simple crocheted children's scarves. There are usually no problems with circuits. Because they are formed by connecting, half-columns, columns with one or two crochets. These elements can be easily reproduced by every needlewoman.
If the pattern indicates an air loop, then when knitting you need to skip one loop in the bottom row to create a gap.
Start knitting in a set of chains of loops, the number of which is divisible by 16. Make a series of connecting stitches on them.
The first row of the pattern: aerial, three connecting, aerial, half-column, aerial, double crochet, aerial, double crochet, aerial, then the stitches go in the reverse order until one connecting. Three connecting columns should be formed between fragments with increasing height. Continue these slides until the end of the row.
The second and third rows of the pattern consist of connecting columns. In the fifth row, knit the same hill, but so that its top falls on the depression, and at the top of the mountain of the previous rows - three connecting ones.

Then we will perform one VP and knit a sc in the sc of the bottom row. And so on until the end of the row.
We knit a new row.
We perform one VP and knit a sc in the first loop. Then we make three VPs and knit a dc in the sc in the bottom row. Again we make three VPs and knit a sc in a VP between the dcs of the bottom row. Next, again, three VP and Dc in the RLS of the bottom row. And so on until the end of the row.
