When one of your loved ones and relatives has a baby in the family, you will most likely be faced with the question of choosing a gift for the newborn. A gift for a child, of course, should be practical and useful. Most often, newborns are given clothes, toys and rattles, baby bottles, and pacifiers.
To create a bicycle you will need:

2 small towels or bodysuits to sit on the bike and wrap around the cardboard tube.
The process of making a bicycle from diapers is quite simple.
You will need 12 diapers for each wheel, plus two diapers for the rear wheels to cover the hole in the middle. The diapers are connected with rubber bands. A satin ribbon is used around the wheels for decoration.
The two rear wheels are placed on a cardboard tube; you can take a ready-made one or roll up a thick sheet of cardboard.
The front wheel is connected to the rear wheels using a folded sheet or medium-sized towel. Another towel is used to create a handlebar to which the baby bottle is attached. The ends of the towels are covered with children's socks.
We mask the cardboard tube between the rear wheels with a small towel or bodysuit, and on top we place a seat made of two diapers wrapped in another bodysuit or small towel and covered with a bib.
You can also decorate the bike with other baby accessories - pacifiers, rattles. It all depends only on your imagination.

To build such a useful bicycle, you will need:
- diapers for babies;
- to give the shape of saucepan wheels;
- ribbons;
- 2 beautiful diapers, which we will roll into tubes and connect the wheels of our interesting transport;
- a bottle for newborns, which in our design will be used as a headlight;
- baby socks;
- 2 bibs;
- threads;
- scissors.
Well, let's get started.
1. Take several diapers and, using a saucepan, as shown in the photo, roll up a wheel.
2. Secure with an elastic band or strong thread. And wrap it with ribbon on top. Roll two more wheels of the same size: you should end up with three wheels.

4. Roll the diaper into a narrow roll, threading it in advance and fix all three wheels as shown in the photo.

How to make a bicycle out of diapers?
You can give your very first bicycle to a boy even before he starts walking if you make it out of diapers. To make it you will need:
- 36 diapers
- 2 diapers
- one wide satin ribbon
- pair of socks
- needle
- threads
- wire
- four small flowers
- one small towel.
We divide the pack of diapers into three parts: one larger (this will be the front wheel) and two equal smaller parts (the rear wheels).
We twist them into the wheels of our future bicycle. To do this, you need to take a small jar, lay out the diapers around it in a spiral, tie an elastic band around the outside and place them evenly around the jar. Then we take out the jar from the middle, and take its place with three more diapers. This results in three wheels. We wrap them with wide blue tape for stability and strength.
We twist tubes from two thin diapers and tie their ends with rubber bands. We insert both tubes into the middle of the front wheel of our bicycle. We tie one of them at the top - this will be the steering wheel. We insert the second one into the middle of the two rear wheels, twist the ends into a tube and move the rear wheels closer to each other - this is how our design begins to resemble a bicycle. All that remains is to decorate it.
We give the steering wheel the desired shape and put children's socks on its ends. The folded diaper is quite rigid and therefore it will hold its shape well, but if this does not work, you can insert a wire inside the steering wheel and roll the entire structure as needed.
We decorate the steering wheel with a bow, and make a saddle from a diaper. For strength, the saddle and the satin ribbon on the wheels can be connected to each other with several stitches, but not very tightly, so that the parents of the birthday boy can then easily disassemble it all. We decorate the sides of the wheels with flowers.
That's all! The bicycle can be supplemented, for example, with a soft toy, placing it on the saddle and also attaching it with a few stitches.
The second gift option for a boy is a train made from diapers

For the wheels, we roll three diapers into cylinders (2 wheels) and 5-6 (1 large wheel). We put ribbons inside the wheels, and wrap the wheels themselves with wide tape, gluing its ends together with a glue gun. The wheels must be dense enough so that they do not later flatten under the weight of the locomotive. The large wheel can be wrapped in a diaper.
For the platform, cut out a rectangle from thick cardboard, wrap it in a diaper and, using a ribbon that was left in the middle of the wheels, attach them to the platform.
In the same way, from 3-5 diapers and a diaper we make a large cylinder that will be in front of the cabin.
We fold the remaining diapers into a pile, put a T-shirt on them and wrap a diaper around this entire structure - this will be the cabin.
We attach the cabin and the large cylinder to the locomotive using thin ribbons passed under the platform and glued from below with a glue gun.
We twist a tube from a pair of socks and sew it to the tape.
We attach another pair of socks to the cabin - these will be the windows.
For beauty, we attach flowers to the wheels and the “face” of the locomotive, and decorate the structure with a small toy. Ready!
Gift idea for a newborn boy No. 3: a diaper castle for the little prince
Probably every boy dreams of his own castle, in which he will be a knight. And with such a gift, he will have his own little castle from birth!

It is better to start with those elements in which the number of diapers can be counted: turrets, two upper floors. Then you can use everything else on the bottom two floors, distributing the diapers evenly.
We twist 8 diapers into narrow tubes, wrap them with wide tape, and glue it together using a hot glue gun (just be careful not to get glue on the diapers themselves). Insert skewers into the middle of the cylinders. Now we will make roofs for the turrets.
We cut out a circle with a diameter of 9.5 centimeters from colored cardboard and divide it into three equal segments. We twist them into a cone and glue them together, put them on a skewer, and glue a flag cut from colored ribbon to its tip. You can insert a thin wire into the edges of the braid and give the flag a shape as if it were fluttering in the wind.
We make floors.
Upper: twist and pull three diapers with an elastic band, tie them with tape and glue it together, remove the elastic bands from under the tape.
The second level is the same, only with seven diapers. We place six pieces around one central one, repeating all the same operations as with the upper level. When there are a lot of diapers, you can hook them with paper clips while the level is not yet assembled.
We take 22 diapers to the third floor. We fold them one by one: one with the fold to the right, the elastic band to the left, the second - vice versa. The result should be a more or less uniform square, which we press tightly, wrap with tape and glue it together.
The remainder goes to the lower floor. We divide the diapers into two piles, put them next to each other with elastic bands and overlap them. We turn the last diaper inside with an elastic band. The center will be thicker than the edges, so for uniformity, 2-3 diapers can be folded along the edges and placed between the layers at the edge. We form a square, wrap it with tape, and glue it together.
We place cardboard under the first tier so that the finished structure does not fall apart, we assemble the lock, right through, through all the floors, we stick a long stick. On top of it, just like on the turrets, we make a roof (only with a wider diameter), a flag, and stick 8 skewers with turrets in the corners. 2. Take several diapers and begin to place them along the edge of a deep bowl or pan. I try to immediately apply the diapers evenly and carefully to each other so that I can quickly and conveniently roll up the correct round wheel.
3. When all the diapers are in a bowl in the shape of such a twisting “flower”, as shown in the photo, carefully secure them with strong thread or an elastic band, forming an even circle. We carefully straighten the finished wheel with the tips of our fingers so that it is proportional and has the correct shape.
4. When all three wheels are ready, wrap them beautifully with a bright ribbon. We glue the edges of the tape with special fabric glue or carefully stitch it with thread. This is what should happen. For the large wheel I took 16 diapers, for the two small ones - 11 pieces each.
6. We pass the resulting “harness” through the center of two small wheels, as shown in the photo. Then we pass the ends of the thread through a large wheel from two opposite sides.
7. In this way we connect all three wheels to each other and tightly fix the entire structure by properly tying the threads at the top of the large wheel.
8. Place wire in the middle of the other diaper and make another roll.
9. It needs to be threaded through the middle of a large wheel and wrapped around it, forming the handlebar of our bicycle, as shown in the picture. We beautifully decorate the edges of this “flagellum” with socks, giving them the shape of bicycle handles.
10. At this stage we add bibs to our design. The larger one will play the role of a seat, the second one will be used as a visor over the front wheel. We carefully attach the bibs to the bicycle, hooking them under the diapers and carefully straightening them.
11. Decorate the bicycle with a small bow from the same ribbon that was used to decorate the wheels. We place the toy on the bicycle. I took a cute little tiger cub.
12. So, we ended up with such a cute tricycle. Please note that the edges of the diapers must be carefully hidden under the bibs, and be sure to make sure that the threads do not peek out anywhere.
13. To make the “diaper bicycle” easy to transport, I recommend placing it in transparent wrapping paper and tying it with ribbon. Then our original gift will not only be convenient to carry, but it will also look festive and beautiful.
